Inspiranation with 13th SATU Indonesia Awards 2022: Creative & Inspirational Young Entrepreneurs

3 August 2022

JAKARTA: Running a business and helping others unite two young speakers in the Inspiranation with 13th SATU Indonesia Awards 2022 talk show “Creative & Inspirational Young Entrepreneurs” organized by Astra in collaboration with Young On Top today (8/3).

Yudi Efrinaldi, the founder of “Es Gak Beres yang Sangat Beres” in Asahan District, North Sumatra, started his business from a small cart by a roadside. Now he makes Rp100-150 million per month from selling raw materials to franchisees. His business currently has more than 500 franchisees in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Riau, Aceh, Jambi, Lampung, Central Kalimantan, West Java and Central Java, with an average sales of up to 300 cups per day and turnover range between Rp300 thousand to Rp1.5 million.

As Es Gak Beres’s business expands, Yudi could even build a café and restaurant in December 2020 and hire 40 staff in charge of raw material production and 10 staff to manage the café and restaurant. His hard work led him to become the winner of the 2021 Semangat Astra Terpadu Untuk (SATU) Indonesia Awards in the Entrepreneurship category.

Today, Yudi, who used to be an exempt employee, shared his stories and entrepreneurship spirit with young people and encouraged them to contribute to society.

“When it comes to entrepreneurship, perhaps many of us are afraid to start a business, especially if we have never been a trader or entrepreneur. Let’s get rid of our doubts. I founded Es Gak Beres with a brand name that is uncommon or eccentric, but it brings benefits to many people,” said the man who once ran a chicken congee stall and sold crispy banana fritters online.

Influencer and @social.bread CEO Edho Zell also told inspiring stories about building his business. On top of running a business, he is also spreading kindness using social media through his “Warteg Gratis” and “Rantang Gratis” programs for those in need.

“Whatever you want to do, you must have a good purpose so that it won’t always be about money. This world doesn’t need more successful people, but it needs more good people,” said the man who once worked at an internet cafe.

President Director of PT Tempo Inti Media Tbk and judge of the 13th SATU Indonesia Awards 2022, Arif Zulkifli, who also attended the inspiring talk show hosted by Nabila Putri, hoped that this nation’s youth would always strive to create an impact that would improve the quality of lives in their community.

“Young people are full of creativity. I am grateful that many of them have started their own businesses, which makes the development of the entrepreneurial sector more colorful with creativity born from Indonesia’s younger generation,” said Arif.
