Astranauts 2023: The Digital and Technological Innovation Competition for Students and Startups in Indonesia

JAKARTA: Astranauts, an event for startups and students in Indonesia to develop innovations in the field of digital and technology, is back and open for registration from March 8 to April 30, 2023, at https://astranauts.astradigital.id.

In its second year, Astranauts is raising the theme “Building A Sustainable Future Through Technology” and looking for innovations in the fields of sustainability, edtech, emerging tech, health, agribusiness, mobility, fintech, logistics and media & entertainment.

“Astra initiated Astranauts to support the development of digital innovations by startups and students in Indonesia, as well as tackle business and technology challenges that can also provide solutions to sustainability issues. This is in line with Astra’s goal to build business sustainability for today and the future of Indonesia,” said Astra Chief of Group Digital Strategy Paul Soegianto.

The target participants of Astranauts are startups and students enrolled in diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate programs in the country. Participants in the startup category must already have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and product traction. Participants in the student category can submit ideas that have not been implemented and commercialized.

The initial selection stages will start with the preliminary round session to choose ten finalists from the startup and student categories. All finalists will then sit in mentorship sessions with experts in their respective fields.

The shortlisted finalists will present their startups or business ideas in the Demo Day session. The competition will be concluded with Astranauts 2023 awarding ceremony on June 7, 2023, and followed by Astranauts Conference on June 8, 2023, which will present various interesting topics with experts in their respective fields.

Astranauts 2023 partners with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Biofarma, Blue Bird Group, GDP Labs, Sime Darby, MD Entertainment, Google Cloud Indonesia, Meta Indonesia, Microsoft Indonesia, Halodoc, Mapan, Dagangan, eFishery, Rekosistem, Kerry Express Indonesia, Paxel, Waresix, Ayoconnect, Kejora Capital, Plug and Play Indonesia, Arkblu, Kumpul ID, Astra Startup Community and Indonesia LPDP Entrepreneurs Club (ILEC), in which they will take part as mentors, judges for the Demo Day and speakers at Astranauts Conference.

The winners of Astranauts 2023 in the startup and student categories will receive cash prizes worth hundreds of millions of rupiah, as well as the opportunity to collaborate and join the Astra Startup Community.

The Astranauts competition held in support of the development of digital and technology ecosystems for today and the future of Indonesia is in line with Astra’s mission to prosper with the nation and support Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
